Described as the medium between Chess and Checkers, Cequis is a strategy based board game that's easy to pick up and difficult to master. The playing surface, comprised of a grid of hexagons, provides a refreshing alternative to traditional 8 x 8 board games, and the straight-foreward game play mechanics won't make new players feel overwhelmed.

The game begins with each player's teams of pieces on their own side of the board, grouped however they like. When the game starts, both teams charge to the middle ground, where they push, block, attack, and defend their pieces. In just one mis-step or unforseen movement, the attacker becomes the defender, and so the game continues until a player's army is dwindled to minimal numbers, where there's no longer hope for victory.
